The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
